Nothing particularly earth-shattering happened, but every ordinary day has become a precious memory.

And its favorite cushion, where it always spent lazy afternoons.

I suddenly understand that death is never the end of life; forgetting is.
Some things aren't "reluctant to part with," but rather "afraid to touch,"
because I fear that time will quietly erase those vivid details.
I know it won't come back,
but I also know it wouldn't want me to be so sad every day.
So, I put its photo by the dining table,
where it used to wait for dinner, in the warmest corner of the sun.
Somehow, it seems like it's still there—watching me, accompanying me,
even if it's just a gentle illusion.
